According to the Contractors State License Board (CSLB), a Class A General Engineering Contractor works on fixed structures that require specialized engineering skills. These projects include (but are not limited to) irrigation systems, water power and supply projects, flood control systems, harbor and dock construction, shipyards, dams, levees, river works, highways, railroads, tunnels, airports, sewers, waste treatment plants, bridges, pipelines, parks, recreational facilities, refineries, industrial plants, power plants, earthmoving, grading, and concrete works.
