• At least four full years of experience at a journey level, or as a foreman, supervisor, or contractor in the classification for which he or she is applying.
• The claimed experience must be certified by a licensed contractor (co-signer).

C.S.L.B. Application

• Personal information, years of experience, etc.
• CSLB Application Fee: $450
• Expires in: 18 months
• Re-examination Fee (within 18 months): $60
• Current processing time: 2-3 months

CA State Examinations

• Two tests
• Law: about 115 questions
• Trade: about 115 questions
• Minimum passing score: 70% (approximately)
